Eduardo "Eddy" Medina is the Founder of ImpactFuture Lab. Eddy is an accomplished impact investor, philanthropist, and social entrepreneur. His work and research have led to advances in localized, crowdsourced investing—with an emphasis on dynamic repayment structures—for low middle-income Americans in small, BIPOC-owned businesses and has been featured in NPR and The Atlantic.
Eddy is a member of the Impact Advisory practice of a firm located in San Francisco that provides investment management and financial advice to a distinct community of individuals, families, and institutions.
Prior to this, he worked on the innovative Integrated Capitals team at the Heron Foundation, conducting due diligence on prospective ESG and impact investments across asset classes, co-managing the U.S. Community Investing Index, and supporting place-based philanthropic initiatives across the United States.
Previously in his career, Eddy worked at TCC Group, where he co-managed several place-based corporate giving portfolios of a Fortune 100 company focused on increasing access to healthcare for BIPOC communities.
Lastly, Eddy was invited to be an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business to further develop a short-term debt-based financial instrument aimed at allowing low-income people to invest in their own community.
Eddy earned his (B.S.) Industrial and Labor Relations degree from Cornell University and is a graduate of the Oxford Impact Investing Program (OIIP) from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
